It is surprising that very few people know about this movie. Perhaps the cast of the film Vijay Anand, Trilok Kapoor, Ranjan, Jairaj etc., were not able to attract audience. Further this was a song-less movie. Leena Chandavarkar has never looked such beautiful, romantic and lovely as she looked and performed here. One must view this movie for its presentation and of course, for Leena Chandavarkar.

Vijay (Shashi Kapoor) is an engineer, who is in love with a rich girl named Rekha (Mumtaz). Rekha's snobby father disapproves because Vijay is not wealthy, and so he has arranged for her to be married to a son of an evil politician. The evil politician is played by Madan Puri. Rekha's father and the politician frame Vijay for a crime that he didn't commit, and he goes to jail. When he's in jail, he becomes friends with three other prisoners. All four men escape from jail. After Vijay reconnects with Rekha, they all go to a small village called Shantinagar and help save the village from the evil politician and the bandits that terrorize the town. The evil politician is arrested. Rekha's father feels remorse and accepts Vijay. Vijay and his three prisoner friends go back to jail. However, the film ends on an optimistic tone indicating that their good deeds will be rewarded (i.e. that their prison sentences will be shortened).

Don, chef d'un gang international, est traqué puis tué par un officier de police, le commissaire D'Silva. Celui-ci décide de ne révéler à personne la mort de Don. Lorsqu'il rencontre Vijay, parfait sosie de Don, il lui propose un marché. Vijay se fera passer pour Don et infiltrera le gang. En retour, D'Silva apportera à Vijay l'aide matérielle qui lui permettra d'élever les deux enfants qu'il a recueillis. Vijay accepte et parvient à berner les complices de Don. Malheureusement, D'Silva meurt. Vijay se retrouve alors seul, traqué à la fois par la police et par les complices de Don qui ont fini par s'apercevoir de la substitution.

He dons a leather mask, and along with the help of his dog Tiger and horse Bahadur he ventures out to set things right. He also has the help of a group of wayfarers, and Dulari (Shirin), the inn-keeper. Samar falls in love with the Chieftain's sister Ila (Mehtab). Dili Ka Thug (Trickster of Delhi) is a movie revolving around Kishore (Kumar) who gambles and tricks people to make money. On being confronted by his mother, he decides to find a job and lands one in Mumbai, where he continues wooing Asha (Nutan). Kishore's father and his friend were murdered by the notorious Anantram who now wears a mask to hide his true identity and continues manufacturing spurious medicines and also passes as Nutan's uncle. The firm employing Kishore is run by Anantram and his two henchmen Sevakram and Bihari. Anantram goes to murder Kishore in the hospital, but drops his monocle which makes Iftekhar suspicious. He manages to take Anantram's fingerprints on Sohan Lal's wallet and figures out the truth. What follows is a dramatic air-borne sequence where Anantram is beaten by Kishore and shot by Nutan. Kishore manages to land the aeroplane after the pilots lose consciousness.

Raghuvir (Dev Anand) is a poor bus conductor who is fired from the job after getting into an argument with a passenger.
