Synopsis
In 1941, 16-year-old IRA volunteer Brendan Behan (Shawn Hatosy) is going on a bombing mission from Ireland to Liverpool during the Second World War. His mission is thwarted when he is apprehended, charged and imprisoned in Borstal, a reform institution for young offenders in East Anglia, England. At Borstal, Brendan is forced to live face-to-face with those he perceived as "the enemy", a confrontation that reveals a deep inner conflict in the young Brendan and forces a self-examination that is both traumatic and revealing. Events take an unexpected turn and Brendan is thrown into a complete spin. In the emotional vortex, he finally faces up to the truth.Acteurs

Sally Bowles est une chanteuse américaine qui se produit dans le cabaret Kit Kat Klub à Berlin au début des années 1930. Elle loue une chambre à Brian, un Anglais réservé, universitaire et écrivain, qui vient d'arriver à Berlin pour écrire sa thèse de philosophie. John McCain flies his jet from a carrier on a bombing mission over Hanoi, Vietnam. As a warning buzzer announces incoming missiles, McCain stays with the bomb drop, but is hit by a missile. He lands in the water and is pulled ashore by an angry mob, and taken prisoner. Asked to give information, he gives out the names of a sports team rather than of his squadron. In flashbacks, his father tells of how his submarine escaped destruction in World War II, and told him not to worry about his grades, as his father and grandfather "really fooled them" by rising to admiral despite doing poorly in school. In prison, McCain sees other prisoners cruelly tortured, while he sees a couple who appear to have decided to cooperate with the enemy. McCain is given a choice to be released early in recognition that his father is commander of US forces in the Pacific, but he refuses, and suffers for it. During a stepped-up bombing campaign, the prisoners sing "Silent Night", after which negotiations result in a release of prisoners and a trip home.

L’Âge de cristal se place dans un monde (supposé) post-apocalyptique où les humains vivent enfermés dans des villes bulles, en l'an 2274. Leur mode de vie, géré par des ordinateurs et des automatismes, est très agréable. Mais afin de limiter la surpopulation et de pouvoir gérer les ressources alimentaires rationnées, la vie des individus est limitée à 30 ans, âge auquel chacun est invité à une cérémonie publique appelée le carrousel, où, sous couvert de renaissance, son corps est purement et simplement désintégré. Pour détecter cette phase, une horloge de vie (lifeclock), sous forme de cristal, est implantée dans la paume de chaque humain et change de couleur à l'approche du dernier jour.

In this complex spy caper, Nicole (Geneviève Bujold) is a Canadian broadcast journalist working on assignment in the former Soviet Union. She is there to cover a visit by the Canadian prime minister, but along the way she discovers an unethical experimentation on children involving the use of steroids, she is also involved in smuggling out a girl for emergency brain surgery. Things get complicated when in the process, she develops a romantic liaison with Lyosha (Michael York), a bureaucrat in the Soviet press corps whose job is to watch her during her stay. A rich businessman (Burgess Meredith) she knows happens to be in Russia at the same time, and she asks him to help her in the smuggling attempt.
