BOKATOR (Khmer:ល្បុក្កតោ) is a Khmer historical art action documentary film which contains two parts: The first describes the origin and nature of the martial art Bokator, while the second part is a mini-film starring martial arts and adventure writer Antonio Graceffo, called “Brooklyn Bokator".

Synopsis

A boxer from Brooklyn with a bad attitude and a fat belly gets beaten up by an old man. Seeking revenge, he returns to a boxing trainer, played by his real-life coach Paddy Carson, asking his coach to get him in shape so he can beat up the old man.

Jim Kelly (Charles Ray) works for a railroad express company in a small Midwest town. After years of heavy lifting, he has developed quite a punch. He is infatuated with Kitty Haskell (Colleen Moore), the daughter of his boss (J.P. Lockner), whom he has worked with for years. Jim has a rival for Kitty's attentions, a city boy who one day watches Mr. Haskell deposit money in the railroad safe. He memorized the combination and later steals the deposit from the safe. Suspicion for the theft falls on both Mr. Haskell and Jim, and Jim decides to go on the run, thinking that Mr. Haskell is guilty and hoping to divert attention from him. He goes to the city, develops his boxing skills, moves to the top of the roster and on the night of the big fight he refuses to throw the bout. He discovers his rival with some of the missing cash, and turns him in... freeing Mr. Haskell and winning the love of Kitty.

Brown plays Gink Schiner, a third-rate fighter who is at the same training camp as Georges La Verne (played by Georges Carpentier), a contender for the heavyweight championship. Although he needs to be concentrating all of his energies on the upcoming bout, Georges keeps getting distracted: Norine Lloyd, a society dame, has a distinct interest in him, but the interest is strictly one-sided. Georges prefers Sue, an old buddy and confidante. Gink has woman trouble of his own, as his flirtations do not sit at all well with Toots (played by Winnie Lightner), his erstwhile girlfriend. More trouble arrives when Larkin, manager of current heavyweight champ Bob Morgan, appears at the camp with the goal of fixing the fight. He is sent packing, after which he attempts to slip a Mickey Finn to the challenger—a plan which goes awry when Gink switches the drinks. Meanwhile, Gink, who is fighting in a preliminary in advance of the big fight, actually wins. Things don't look so bright for Georges, who initially gets the worst of it in his encounter with Morgan, but who eventually comes out on top.
