The film is a tale of a cold, mercenary and scheming wife finally getting her comeuppance and was publicised with the tagline: "She loved one man for kicks...one man for luxury...one man for murder". The Time Out Film Guide describes it as "an unassuming but occasionally effective second-feature thriller."

Synopsis
Paul Gregory (Sylvester) is a blind but very successful pop music composer, married to the beautiful Anne (Shelley). Anne is having a secret affair with struggling artist Rickie Seldon (Alexander Davion), and persuades Paul to commission Rickie to paint her portrait as a pretext to enable them to spend time together. Paul agrees, but after a recording session with Ronnie Carroll he is told by his business partner Mike Williams (Mark Eden) that Anne and Rickie have been seen about town together in circumstances which leave no doubt that they are more than friends. Paul knows that Mike has always disliked Anne and suspects he may be trouble-causing, but is finally persuaded of the validity of his allegations.Acteurs

En vacances en Bretagne avec ses amis Keith et Anne, Paul Baxter refuse de croire aux histoires locales des gitans à propos du Comte Sinistre, un vampire exécuté au XVI siècle puis revenu à la vie pour tuer Tania, une jeune gitane devenue sa compagne. Parti explorer des cavernes, Keith meurt accidentellement tandis qu'Anne rencontre un étrange couple, l'aristocrate français Armand du Molière et sa femme. Tandis qu'elle se trouve au bord d'un lac avec lui, Anne découvre qu'il n'a pas de reflet : il s'agit du Comte Sinistre en personne. Peu de temps après, son corps est retrouvé noyé. Alors que la police refuse d'enquêter sur ces deux morts suspectes, concluant à un suicide pour Anne et à un accident pour Keith, Paul décide de mener son enquête lui-même. Avant de repartir en Angleterre, il récupère un talisman qu'il a découvert sur les lieux du crime d'Anne.
