Patinage étoiles Sonja Henie et le Glenn Miller Orchestra partagent la vedette dans la vallée Serenade du Soleil. Henie joue un norvégien pour les réfugiés adoptée par le pianiste de bande John Payne, qui pensait à tort que Miss Henie pleine croissance était une petite fille âgée de 10 ans.
