The film starts with an accident. Then it shifts back several months before when Joyita (Payal Sarkar), a girl from the village of Balurghat comes to Kolkata to give an interview for her work. But her sister who was supposed to guide her could not come due to the stroke of her father-in-law. She takes help from a stranger named Avik (Abir Chatterjee) who bunks his job in order to help her but ends up the entire day with her. Suvra (Soham Chakraborty) is a lower middle class young boy, who dreams of becoming a big singer. His girlfriend Jhilik( Subhasree Ganguly) also dreams of becoming a singer. Suvra and Jhilik are both trapped by a company of a reality show organisation. Suvra loses a lac of rupees, which is actually his college admission fee for computer engineering. But his father cannot bear this shock and suffers from a massive heart attack. To save his family, Suvra gives up his dream and starts working in a TV Channel. Ce film s'inspire de l'histoire vraie du meurtre de Jessica Lall, tuée d'une balle dans la tête en pleine soirée people à Delhi, le 29 avril 1999 pour la seule raison qu'elle refusa de servir un verre au fils d'un politicien. Malgré les 12 témoins, l'énergie de Sabrina, la sœur de Jessica pour obtenir justice et après 7 ans de procès, le meurtrier, Manu Sharma est acquitté. Les témoins qui étaient tout d'abord prêts à témoigner vont progressivement retourner leur veste et être incapables de reconnaitre Manu comme l'auteur du coup de feu. Vinod (Soham Chakraborty), who orphaned at an early age,has grown up under the care of a church father, Father Rozario (Nagesh), in North Bengal, is an introvert but a genius.
