Synopsis
Siva (Ajay) is an IT professional and an orphan who falls in love with Bhanu (Sriji) a chirpy girl whose brother a long haired bearded guy (Rakshai) is a big time terrorist (!!) who is planning to bomb Chennai city! One day Siva and Bhanu elope, but are caught by terrorist big brother. The guy a bomb maker thinks of a unique way of taking revenge on Siva and also putting his plans to bomb the city. He plants a shoe bomb on Siva and dumps him in the city center and asks him to start running and if he slows down it will explode killing all the people near him!Acteurs

Gautham Subramaniam (Jayam Ravi) is a doctor from an Indian family who lives in Chennai. Since his father (Nizhagal Ravi) and mother are doctors, he wanted to become a doctor. Gautham gets an opportunity from the Government of India to go to Russia to represent India in a week long medical conference, along with five other young doctors. Gautham is delighted to receive this offer and packs his bags to fly to Russia. Meanwhile, his beloved is introduced on the frame which happens to be Shenba (Kangana Ranaut). She happens to be the same village girl in which Gautham's sister Sarasu, (Anu Haasan) resides with her husband (Chetan) and so they two meet and fall in love. Despite initial frictions between her father and uncle (Mahadevan and Bose Venkat) with Gautham, they eventually agree to get the pair married. Gautham’s parents agree to the marriage and as a happy man Gautham is ready to marry Shenba after his return to India from his Russia trip.

The movie begins with the selection of new students in BCM college which is famous for sports and athletics. Arjun (Dileep) is a young athlete who is all set to create history with his speed and spirits. He is going through tough times, mentally and financially following his father's demise. He has got a share of tension for his family who badly needs him to keep them going. Thirupathi is a straight forward young man who leads a happy life with his parents and younger sister. He happens to meet Priya and both fall for each other. Thirupathi’s sister is pregnant and at the time of delivery, he takes her to a hospital. The doctor there expects bribe but when it is not forthcoming, neglects his duty because of which Thirupathi’s sister dies. Thirupathi comes to know that this is not the first instance in the hospital and the doctor is none other than Soori’s brother. When he goes out to get him, Soori and his father do all that they can to protect him from Thirupathi. How Thirupathi gets his revenge on the people responsible for his sister's death forms the rest of the movie.

The recently retired police commissioner of Chennai, Devanathan, begins a new life with his family (which includes his brother and his wife) to keep his past's glory alive. Daniel saves Devanthan's life from criminals, and wins the heart of the family. Ashwin drives too fast, frightening the neighborhood children. One day Devanathan gets into an argument with Ashwin, who goes to Daniel's office. Daniel behaves insanely and begins hurting himself. In the hospital Daniel begins dreaming about Abhirami, threatens Ashwin with a knife and cuts himself. Later, Daniel starts a fire in the house. Ashwin is taken to a mental hospital. Daniel disguises himself and spies on Devnathan's hot sister-in-law when she is bathing, thinking it was Devanathan. He lies to her; the brothers become enemies, and the younger brother leaves the house. When riding her bicycle, Anita discovers Daniel's motorcycle and is shocked to see Daniel performing hindu rituals for Abhirami. Daniel claims to be Sakthivel, raised by his elder sister and uncle.
