Munnariyippu (English: Warning) is a 2014 Malayalam language Indian mystery thriller film directed by cinematographer Venu and produced by Ranjith, under the banner of Gold Coin Motion Pictures, based on a screenplay by Unni R. The film stars Mammootty and Aparna Gopinath in the lead roles, along with Nedumudi Venu, Joy Mathew, Prathap Pothan, Sreeraman, Renji Panicker, Saiju Kurup, Joshy Mathew, Sudheesh and Prithviraj Sukumaran in pivotal roles.

The film follows Anjali Arakkal (Aparna Gopinath), a junior journalist, who has set out to write an autobiography on convict C.K. Raghavan (Mammootty) who professes that he never committed the crimes he is in prison for. The film released on 22 August 2014 to positive reviews.

Synopsis

Anjali Arakkal,a freelance journalist,while interacting with a retiring jail superintendent (Nedumudi Venu) meets C R Raghavan (Mammootty) who even after completing his 20 year term in jail still prefers to continue there.She had came to write the officer’s autobiography,but instead finds Raghavan’s life an interesting one.Becoming a mystery for Anjali,Raghavan was tried for killing his wife and the daughter of his employee,But claims of his innocence every now and then.

The Harikrishnans (Mammootty and Mohanlal) are one of the most famous lawyer duos in India. To avoid confusion one is called as Hari (Mammooty) and the other as Krishnan (Mohanlal). They head the organization called Harikrishnan Associates, which consists of around 300 lawyers. They get engaged in a murder case of Guptan, who was allegedly killed by Gabriel. Gabriel is a friend of Hari's sister and Harikrishnans become the defense lawyers upon her request. Harikrishnans begin investigation and come across Meera (Juhi Chawla), a friend of Guptan. Both of them fall in love with her. After some trouble over the matter, they rediscover their friendship and get involved in the case again. They discover that Guptan actually died due to poisoning by his relatives who were doctors. At the end Meera decides to go for a random method of choosing her lover as she liked both Harikrishnans equally. Two different climaxes of the film show either of Harikrishnans winning the toss for being Meera's friend; the losing person presumably becoming Meera's lover.

Arvind Chandrasekhar (Mammootty), a very successful lawyer with a track record any one would dream about, is appointed judge in the Karnataka High Court.
