Rosa María Vázquez Bustamante (born 5 August 1943) is a Mexican actress of film and television. A native of Tulancingo, Hidalgo, she made her film debut at the age of six in Emilio Fernández's The Torch (1950) starring Paulette Goddard and Pedro Armendáriz. She studied acting for three years at the National Association of Actors' Film Academy of Radio and Television, and was given her first starring role opposite Cantinflas in El padrecito (1964), her most famous film.

Two different women give birth to twin brothers in a hospital, and when they are discussing outside the hospital, the fathers (Viruta and Capulina), confuse their babies when they say goodbye one another. Some years after, one of the couples is a pair of rich and well educated brothers that are meant to be married to a couple of rich sisters, Alma and Maria Castillo, while the other couple of brothers, a poor but friendly unemployed guys, fall in love with Emilia and Rosita, the maids of the rich twin brothers. When the two couples meet, confusion is ensued in all sides. After several situations that almost break the compromise of all four couples, the girls realize about the problem and make amends with the boys.

The young priest Father Sebastián (played by Cantinflas) is assigned to a parish in San Jerónimo el Alto, where he is not welcomed by the community, particularly the resident priest Father Damián (played by Ángel Garasa). The newcomer gradually earns the trust of the people through humor, but firmly captures their hearts by saving the town fiesta by fighting a bull when the hired torero failed to show.
