Choi Jong-won (born January 27, 1950) is a South Korean actor and politician. Choi began his acting career in theater, then made his screen debut in 1978 and became known as a veteran actor of stage, film and television of over forty years. He won Best Supporting Actor at the Grand Bell Awards in 1995 for the Joseon-era period drama The Eternal Empire.
Choi entered politics in 2004, when he ran and lost in the 17th National Assembly elections as an Uri Party candidate. He ran again in the by-elections on July 28, 2010 under the Democratic Party, where he won as the lawmaker representing Gangwon Province (Taebaek, Jeongseon, Yeongwol, and Pyeongchang) in the 18th National Assembly. On September 16, 2010, Choi was elected as the head of DP's Gangwon provincial chapter.

L'histoire est celle de deux orphelins, Gil-son (길손), un petit garçon âgé de cinq ans, et sa grande sœur Gami (감이), qui a perdu la vue. Gil-son sert de guide à sa grande sœur, mais son jeune âge pose parfois problème. La mère des deux enfants est morte, mais Gami ne l'a pas encore avoué à Gil-son, qui croit simplement qu'elle est partie très loin et que tous deux partiront bientôt la retrouver. Peu après avoir apprivoisé un chien (que Gil-son appelle Brise), les deux enfants sont recueillis par deux moines bouddhistes qui les amènent dans leur monastère pour y passer l'hiver. Gil-son, qui ne tient pas en place, provoque quelques troubles au monastère par ses facéties, tandis que la gentillesse de Gami la fait rapidement accepter parmi les femmes de l'endroit. Malgré l'aide des deux moines qui les ont recueillis, les deux enfants restent isolés et vulnérables aux plaisanteries méchantes des gamins du village. Tous deux regrettent la compagnie de leur mère ; Gami, plus âgée que Gil-son, a davantage de souvenirs d'elle (remontant au temps où elle n'avait pas encore perdu la vue), et les raconte souvent à son petit frère ; et elle la voit parfois en rêve.

The experienced detective Jo has a new partner, Kang who recently graduated from the Police Academy at the top of the class. Two North Korean agents, carrying Japanese passports bearing the names "Shinichi" and "Mayumi", plan to explode a Seoul-bound plane in mid-air. They are diverted to another plane after they have planted the bomb. When the plane crashes, killing all on board, the two plan to commit suicide.
