It is a remake of the 1973 Hindi film of the same name. The film marked the Bollywood debut of Tollywood actor Ram Charan in the lead role along with Priyanka Chopra. Reliance BIG Entertainment bought worldwide distribution rights for ₹1.05 billion (US$16 million).
Synopsis
A l'âge de sept ans, Vijay a été traumatisé par le meurtre de ses parents, qu'il a vécu caché... Adulte, le bonhomme est devenu un grand gaillard et a pris le relais de son père en tant qu'Inspecteur de Police. Reste que ses méthodes expéditive et son sens de la justice inflexible ne sont pas toujours apprécié. Vijay est donc régulièrement "muté" et atterrit dans un bled dirigé de main de maitre par le truand Teja. Comme à son habitude, Vijay donne un grand coup de pied dans la fourmilière mais cette fois-ci, l'aventure tourne mal...Acteurs

Suryaveer "Surya" Singh (Amitabh Bachchan) is a bitter man and ex-Army officer, hired by his friend Shekhar Verma (Arjun Rampal) to protect a little girl, Anamika R. Rathore (Rucha Vaidya), who resides in Bangkok, Thailand with her Non-resident Indian (NRI) family. He drinks alcohol frequently, and is not interested in befriending the girl. Eventually, she wins his heart and he helps her to prepare for a swim meet. One day Anamika gets kidnapped and Surya receives serious injuries in his attempt to prevent the kidnapping. Her father is not able to pay the sum to release his daughter. So Suryaveer uses all his skills to save the life of the child, only to find out about the conspiracy that is behind the little girl's kidnapping. Surya learns that Chang, Shekhar's lawyer, is behind some of this. The real mastermind behind this is Chang's brother. Surya holds Chang hostage, while Chang's brother holds Anamika hostage. When they come to exchange the people, Chang's brother reveals a great secret to Surya. Surya learns that Shekhar was all behind this. Surya kills Chang's brother's men. A great fight between Shekhar and Surya starts. Shekhar is killed, and Surya spends the rest of his life with Anamika and her mother. In the end, Anamika gets a new bodyguard and the film shows her during her swimming practice, with Surya and her new bodyguard 15 years later.

Lors d’une cérémonie de remise de décoration, Snehal Lakhia déclare que son petit village n'a pas encore l'électricité. Le village est promptement raccordé au réseau électrique ce qui amène Kanji, son petit-fils installé à Mumbai, à rentrer au pays équipé d'une antenne parabolique et d'un téléviseur dernier cri. Les villageois sont enthousiasmés par les émissions qu'ils suivent assidûment, les transposant dans leur vie quotidienne avec plus ou moins de bonheur et délaissant le temple et ses cérémonies religieuses. Cela provoque la colère du prêtre qui en informe Rudra Pratap Singh, l'homme fort du village. Celui-ci reste indifférent aux troubles provoqués par le retour de Kanji jusqu'à ce qu'il apprenne qu'il courtise sa sœur avec succès.

An auto driver, sees Mattu Bhai (Ashish Vidyarthi) murder a journalist. The auto driver manages to capture Mattu Bhai & his henchman, and hold them until the Police arrive. Afterwards, the auto driver returns home to his wife and son, Charan. Unfortunately, Mattu Bhai & his henchmen break into their house that night.
