Les parents de Lakis Angelou ont décidé, alors qu'il est fiancé, qu'il ne se mariera pas avant que ses trois sœurs se soient elles aussi mariées. The story of the film revolves around two brothers Mixalis and Nodas who run a funeral office constantly making plans about how to make a lot of money. However, Nodas is in trouble with the Greek mafia and owes them a large sum of money. He suggests to Mixalis to start robbing banks in order to pay off his debt. Things start getting complicated when the chief of police, in order to deal with the rising number of bank robberies,places undercover police officers in every bank in the country. The situation goes out of control when Mixalis falls in love with a bank employee who has a rather graphical family life.

Jim, un Grec émigré aux USA rentre au pays. Il veut ouvrir une boîte de nuit. Il rencontre Kostas Pitouras (Kostas Voutsas), un marchand de souvenirs. Celui-ci lui présente un joueur de bouzouki : le frère de sa fiancée Fotis Tsipouras (Faidon Georgitsis). Fotis joue dans la « Taverne d'Apostolis », avec les chanteuses Sofia et Markisia qui sont toutes deux amoureuses de lui. La Taverne d'Apostolis se heurte à la concurrence d'un nouvelle boîte de nuit qui a ouvert juste à côté et qui joue du rock. Fotis est amoureux de la chanteuse Mary (Zoi Laskari) qui chante dans la boîte voisine et concurrente. Elle essaye de lui faire changer de style. La tension monte, mais l'amour finit par triompher.
